No more beating around the bush, or rather, trees. From Thanksgiving to Kwanza, Hanukkah, and Christmas, celebratory events are starting to populate our calendars, and you may be wondering, “What the heck am I going to wear to all these things?!?” Do not panic purchase. Let’s shop with intention and tact, use old forgotten favorites of our own, and utilize Deb’s high-low approach to looking and feeling fab.

LOOK 1: SWEATER | SKIRT | SHOES | NECKLACE
While it is festive and traditional to wear reds and greens at this time, do not restrict yourself. Pick out your favorite pantones and jazz them up with some great accessories. Costume jewelry is an accessible, acceptable, and fun way to add maximalist flare. A statement shoe shows panache, and you’ll never grow out of them. Personally, we would splurge on the shoes. Everyone loves a great bag, and you can find chic and unique options for great prices on H&M, Zara, Anthropologie, and Amazon (shopping locally is also strongly encouraged).

LOOK 2: TOP | PANTS | SHOES | EARRINGS
Wear those winter whites and neutrals! Have some suede fall booties? Ride those puppies into the NYE sunset. Camel, leather, and suede boots or flats add a great casual touch to your sequin skirt or satin slip dress and sweater. Cozy sweaters and festive pants or skirts are great layering tools and ideal for flip flopping and swapping out for different events. Mixing and matching like a paper doll will save your wallet and sanity.

LOOK 3: DRESS | PURSE | SHOES | EARRINGS
Texture is key. Deb’s boucle find from Self Portrait is probably one of her best yet. Impossibly chic, warm, and classy, the bubble skirt and flattering tailoring of the jacket will make you feel like a reincarnated Audrey Hepburn. Which is kind of the whole point of holiday dressing, right? And, the crepe, avocado green STAUD mini dress can be worn with tights and boots or a kitten heel if you’re traveling somewhere warmer. This is not just a summer dress but can be as well! Also, that color looks great on everyone.

LOOK 4: DRESS | COAT | SHOES | EARRINGS
Be bold! You’re allowed! Put on your grandmother’s 10-foot-long pearls, or splurge on a big, sparkly earring, get yourself the Roxanne Assouline puffy, gold heart. Jewelry rocks, and sometimes we either forget about what we already have or get intimidated. Layering and stacking jewels is such an underutilized tool that truly allows you to express yourself. Some chunky necklaces on top of a silk scarf you bought on a trip with friends? Yes! We want a story and some personal style!
No matter what, wear what makes you feel wonderful. Being uncomfortable shows from the inside out, so reach for the pieces you truly love and reflect who you are. AND remember to have fun, hug your friends and family, and be kind (and stylish). We love you and hope you have the happiest of holidays.
