TRAVEL GUIDE: Hello from Mykonos!

TRAVEL GUIDE: Hello from Mykonos!

Χαιρετίσματα! Deb, Ben, Tucker, and Gibson kicked off July by celebrating and enjoying an extended stay in Mykonos, Greece. With visits to Soho House Mykonos and a supermarket-meets-club, even Zeus would be jealous of this vacay. Come join the Johns crew for a little tzatziki and other scenes from Lena’s chapter in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

With winding cobblestone streets punctuated with white and blue, windmills lining the sea, chic boutiques featuring a range of luxury to trendy, Greek designers, and coastline architecture from a fairytale, the town of Mykonos is rich with color, flavor, and reflections of ancient times.

More than 750 chapels and churches inhabit the island, many of which were built on private properties as a means of paying religious respect to ancestors. There’s something very SCOUT about the way the surroundings lean into the natural elements with shades of blue, lightweight layers, and decorative embroideries.

The Johns spent the mornings enjoying breakfast al fresco at the Argo Hotel. For a luxe and lovely space to lounge, Soho House Mykonos provided the ultimate setting for a chill Grecian moment. Food-wise, Deb loved the fab food at Nolan among many fresh and awesome eateries on the island. And, last but not least, luxury open-air shopping at NAMMOS Mykonos provided the ultimate hub for noteworthy boutiques amidst seaside landscaping.

If you loathe trips to the grocery store, like many of us do, Flora Supermarket has the flavor to turn that beat around. This grocery store makes shopping an experience with unparalleled interior design and goods, elevated drinks and a bar, and a live in-store DJ. Thank heavens these don’t exist in the states…

When it comes to family travel, the Johns are unmatched. They’re going to seek out top notch adventure, food, art, and, of course, shopping opportunities. In a country with unmatched colors, cultures, and history, Deb never fails to draw inspiration for SCOUT patterns to come. So, be on the lookout for dashes of Greece on the SCOUT Bags coastline.
