How did Labor Day already happen? We’re almost halfway through September? And, next weekend is our Annual GO BO Celebration when we officially say “see you next year” to summer? Before we go off the rails on a crazy autumn train, Deb’s sharing her “ACK Wrapped.” The Nantucket ferry send off will be emotional and crazy, but we all want to see the finale of The Summer I Packed a Range of Bags and Coolers for My Family of Eight.
Like a summer vacay crush, the Errand Boy Tote is the bag that keeps coming back to ACK. This reliable and handsome go-to for carrying all your groceries (or baggage) is the Johns' most-packed bag for trips to the isle, literally. Deb fits 11 towels in hers.
Ok! Trivia time! What sells out as fast as Cowboy Carter tour tickets? Easy. It’s our Al Fresco pattern from the Summer 2025 collection. This basket-weave print was made for Nantucket where Scrimshaw basketry rests on every bike and arm. Needless to say, this style and our pattern are popular on the island.
Would there even be baskets without beach cruisers and bikes??? This preferred method of ACK transport helps get you where you’re going in a fun and environmentally sound manner.
Deb is known for seeking patterns that mimic nature’s beauty (this summer's Late Bloomer is a great example) and finds inspiration from various features of her beloved island, like the iconic hydrangeas. Hydrangeas, boxwoods, and trellis archways are just a few examples of landscape architecture that make this place so beautiful and nostalgic. These signature details for many yards and gardens are likely Deb’s most photographed.
Local signage of any kind and art also fill Deb’s photo reel. “Follow Your Path” leads you down the walkway to Sister Ship, a dreamy and elevated treasure with cozy corners and al fresco areas to eat, drink, and relax.
Regardless of destination, the Johns will find the best pastry and donut in town. No matter what, there will always be a bakery. The Cymbals Cafe, the coffee shop in Nantucket Faraway Hotel where Sister Ship is also located, serves house-made donuts daily. We wonder if they have some sort of rental situation…
Rental situations, hydrangeas, pastries, product, and ferry tickets will probably inhabit our dreams and fantasies for the next month or so. Though we cannot guarantee the sun will be up past 6 PM in a short matter of time, we can guarantee amazing patterns for the summer ahead that will be well worth the wait.
