Virginia is for lovers (of the SCOUT STATEment Collection)! This week our Digital Director and lovely little lover of Virginia, Sarah Ortman Sams, takes us on a fun bebop from the Commonwealth to the Lowcountry of South Carolina with the help of her two favorite SCOUT products.
When Sarah’s home with her husband and pooch in Arlington, Virginia, she utilizes her Original Deano in our Virginia pattern from the STATEment Collection for all her local shopping endeavors. Granted, we’re certain Sarah has about 20 other Deanos on deck in her home, but the Virginia print is number one in her family’s rotation right now. Whether shopping at the local Wegmans, Trader Joe’s, or farmers market, she receives compliments galore for this bad boy. The Sams love to cook and try to recreate one new recipe per week. If you’re not familiar with the NYT Cooking recipe for broccoli rabe, sausage, and orecchiette, it’s a must-try. The Deano easily fits all the needed ingredients and then some, perfect for pre-vacay grocery hauls.
Once Sarah finishes feeding her small fam, she ditches her hubby to head to the beach with one of her girlfriends. For this BFF adventure, she leaves her beloved Deano behind, and instead grabs her Grab and Go as it’s super smushable and folds a bit flatter for tight packing. This small tote also has this wonderful sandproof material that we all love. Sand is great and all, but we can only take so much of it. The Grab and Go is ideal for Sarah to carry her own personal beach gear (she’s the ideal guest!). The bag holds just enough for her and fits perfectly in the bike basket when she’s cruising with her bestie.
Sarah can attest that people love the Virginia pattern EVERYWHERE, but don’t sleep on our other STATEment favorites OR our other beloved summertime staples. We hope you’re having a safe and fabulous summer!
